I used to scoff ediion folks who said you really need to read the book to understand the program. The author isn’t really an author but a guy who knows how to wrndler. In-between he puts up his own pics and that’s not convincing either because he just looks like a giant chunk of mass.
Now, as a book, this is not a good one if I look at it’s literary merits. Look it up in our Glossary. It is important for you to understand that some of his advice comes from a chemically enhanced perspective. Wendler’s website seems to indicate that you need 2nd edition to develop a “working knowledge” of before diving into Forever. No self promotion, surveys, or market research.

I obviously can’t comment on the efficacy of the system itself, as I’m reading this well before starting it, but I particularly liked a lot of Wendler’s philosophical approach to lifting: He just wants you to eat to gain weight This was an okay seconf, but nothing revolutionary. Nevertheless, the principles are sound and adhere to common sense and tried and tested training methods rather than following a new fad.
I’ll probably just get the ebook of the 2nd edition for the basics just in case and the hardcopy of Forever.
